Just joined this surgery yesterday, but needed an appointment rang up today, the lady on phone was very polite and friendly, explained about the drop in time between half 2 and 3, so i turned up for my first visit, receptionist was lovely, dr shouted my name and clearly must have known i was knew because he even described where the room was as i wouldnt have had a clue!! was a lovely dr very helpful and understanding, I dont see why people are rating so low, but i suppose i havent been here long. so far so good though!

My Doctor's Surgery, Doctor's very helpful.

Waiting for the phone representative for 15 minutes in queue, got to front of the queue was cut off, redialled queued for another 20 minutes. Really poor quality of service Filled out complaint form online but website won't accept it.

Suffering from acute sinusitis, have tried OTC for 10 days and no relief. I work an hour away from the surgery. Appointments are booked up over a week in advance. I can turn up at 14:00 but may not get an appointment - and that's it. Dismissive attitude of staff, no compassion. consideration or care. You can see the surgery response below. I rang up and was told all appointments are booked up for over a week. If it s not true then why are the surgery staff telling people this. It seems the doctors want their reality to be different than it actually is. I queried the 'lottery' of having to physically drive an hour to turn up at 2.00 p.m.wait to see if their are appointments (no guarantee) then go away and come back again. Nye Bevan would turn in his grave. This is also so typical of the surgery - quoting NHS advice from a website. Yes I read it myself, it also says to consult a doctor if I have specific symptoms after 7 days - which is why I did. Rather than deal with issues they want to blame patients. Shame on you. Perhaps NHS Principle 3 would be worth revisting: "Respect, dignity, compassion and care should be at the core of how patients and staff are treated not only because that is the right thing to do, but because patient safety, experience and outcomes are all improved when staff are valued, empowered and supported."And Principle 4. "The NHS will actively encourage feedback from the public, patients and staff, welcome it and use it to improve its services."And 7. "The NHS is accountable to the public, communities and patients that it serves".And perhaps NHS values -Compassion:Compassionate care ties in closely with respect and dignity in that individual patients, carers and relatives must be treated with sensitivity and kindness. The business of the NHS extends beyond providing clinical care and includes alleviating pain, distress, and making people feel valued and that their concerns are important.

Inefficient, is the first word that describes this surgery! I was held over the telephone for over ten minutes without an apology from the receptionist who quite frankly spoke to me in a robotic, patronising manner. She appeared more focused on the next "caller waiting" thereby providing only minimal information and lastly she lacked knowledge and compassion.I sincerely recommend patients to find a less "Fordist" surgery.
